Treatment

Treatment is the technical New Thought term for a structured act of spiritual mind work: a deliberate, often spoken movement of consciousness from recognition of the divine, through unification with it, to the specific realization and acceptance of a desired good. Ernest Holmes systematised it as the central method of Religious Science, a clear sequence that begins in the truth of one God and ends in grateful release. It is prayer made into a disciplined craft.

The teachers here treat the treatment not as autosuggestion alone but as the conscious use of a creative Law, in which the practitioner knows the truth so completely that the mind accepts it as accomplished. The work is done in oneself, not on the other person or condition; one treats one's own thought until it embodies the new reality. What follows that inner conviction, in this tradition, is the demonstration.
The Law is Infinite and Perfect; but in order to make a demonstration we must first have a mental equivalent of the thing we desire.
And he who knows of the power with which he is dealing, and who plants a seed of thought in Subjectivity, knows that it will come up and bear fruit.
Man's inner world of thought is translated into his outer world of things.
