Transformation
Transformation is the change of being that the whole path exists to bring about, the turning of one kind of person into another through a change of inner pattern. It is not improvement of the old self but the emergence of a new one, the way the caterpillar does not become a better caterpillar but a butterfly. Every tradition agrees that this change begins in the mind and works outward, for the outer life is only the visible shape of the inner condition.
