Synchronicity

Synchronicity is the meaningful coincidence, two events drawn together not by cause and effect but by significance, as if the inner world and the outer were quietly rhyming. Jung named it an acausal connecting principle: when the dream and the daylight echo, when the number repeats, when the book falls open to the needed page, something other than chance is at work. To the one with eyes to see, it is an ever-present reality, a sign that psyche and world arise from a single depth.

These moments tend to cluster around what matters, gathering at the thresholds of a life, the turning points and the openings. They are the wink of a deeper order, confirmation that you are on your path or a nudge toward it. The teachers counsel neither to dismiss them as random nor to chase them superstitiously, but to read them as the soul reads a dream: with attention, with reverence, and with the willingness to let a sign reorient the day. To live awake to synchronicity is to feel the universe as responsive, intimate, and addressed, in part, to you.
