Surrender
Surrender is the conscious release of resistance, the yielding of the small, grasping will to a larger order. In this lineage it is not defeat but the most powerful of moves: the soft overcoming the hard, the open hand receiving what the clenched one cannot hold. To surrender is to stop forcing and to let the deeper current carry the work to completion.

The teachers describe it as the paradox at the heart of mastery. Taoism makes water the image of yielding strength, the soft that wears away the strong; the nondual stream teaches that to the still mind the whole universe surrenders; New Thought and the Law of Assumption speak of casting the burden, assuming the wish fulfilled and then releasing it entirely. Surrender completes faith: having planted the inner state, one lets go and allows.
In their words
To the mind that is still, the whole universe surrenders.Laozi (attributed)
Under heaven nothing is more soft and yielding than water; yet for attacking the solid and strong, nothing is better.Tao Te Ching 78
Surrender is the simple but profound wisdom of yielding to rather than opposing the flow of life.Eckhart Tolle
