Peace

Peace is not the absence of storms but the stillness at their center, the deep calm that remains when the surface waves subside. The traditions describe it as the natural condition of the mind once it ceases its restless grasping, the silence that was always beneath the noise. It is found not by arranging the world to our liking but by coming to rest in what we already are.
