How mind makes reality

Intention

Intention is the directed aim of consciousness, the inner setting of the will toward a chosen end. It is the seed-decision that gives a deed its weight and a life its trajectory, for the reward of every act is measured by the intention behind it. Where desire is the longing and expectation is the leaning-forward, intention is the deliberate pointing of the whole self at a target. To set an intention is to inform the field of mind what you have decided shall be.

The traditions distinguish inner intention, the relaxed alignment with what is already underway, from the strained outer effort that pushes against the world. Practiced rightly, intention is set lightly and then released, so that the larger current can carry it. It is checked at every fork, pre-paved into the coming day, aligned before any work begins. The clear, unconflicted aim is one of the most quietly powerful instruments the seeker holds.
The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended.Muhammad (Sahih al-Bukhari)
The sacred word is the symbol of our intention to consent to God's presence and action within.Thomas Keating
You have absolute control over but one thing, and that is your thoughts.Napoleon Hill
