Gratitude
Gratitude is thankful recognition for what is already given, the inner turn that meets life as gift rather than lack. In this lineage gratitude is not merely good manners but a creative posture: by giving thanks as though the desired good were already received, the mind aligns itself with abundance and draws more of it into form. Gratitude is the felt proof of faith, the assumption of the wish fulfilled expressed as thanks.

The teachers place gratitude at the center of the creative process. Wallace Wattles makes grateful thought the binding force that keeps one in harmony with the formless substance of supply; the Reiki precepts name it among the secret arts of inviting happiness; the New Thought writers and the Law of Attraction stream teach that the grateful heart, by feeling rich now, becomes rich. To give thanks in advance is to live already in the answered state.
