Faith
Faith is belief made firm and living, the substance that gives weight to things hoped for and the evidence of things not yet seen. Where belief assents, faith rests its whole weight upon the unseen as upon solid ground. In this lineage faith is a spiritual force, an active energy that couples the individual to the power of the universe and holds the assumption steady until it hardens into fact.

The teachers treat faith as both posture and power. The letter to the Hebrews defines it as the very substance of the hoped-for; Neville says your faith is your fortune; the Word of Faith stream names it a force that makes spiritual law operate. To live by faith is to refuse the testimony of present appearances and to stand instead on the reality of the inner conviction, persisting without wavering until it is seen.
