Oneness and the absolute
Emptiness
Emptiness - sunyata - is the Buddhist insight that nothing possesses a fixed, independent, self-existing essence. Everything arises in dependence on everything else, so that to look for the solid core of any thing is to find only relationship, openness, space. Emptiness is not nothingness or bleakness; it is the boundless freedom of a reality not frozen into separate things.

This is why form and emptiness are inseparable: precisely because things are empty of fixed essence, they can flow, change, and appear at all. To realize emptiness is to release the grip of clinging, for there is nothing solid to grasp and no solid one to do the grasping. What remains is a luminous, open awareness - vast, compassionate, and free.
