Dharma
Dharma is the law of your own being, the right action that is yours to perform because of who and where you are. It is at once cosmic order and personal duty: the way the universe holds together, and the particular thread of it you are asked to carry. The Gita teaches that it is better to do your own dharma imperfectly than another's perfectly, for in living your own truth you align with the whole. Your work is your worship when it is the work that is genuinely yours.

The deepest teaching is karma yoga: act, and act fully, but release your grip on the fruit. You have a right to your labor, never to its results. When duty is done as offering rather than for reward, action ceases to bind and becomes a path of liberation. To find and follow your dharma is to discover that obligation and freedom are the same door seen from two sides, and that the ordinary tasks of a life, done with the patience of the earth, are themselves the sacred path.
