Demonstration
Demonstration is the New Thought name for the visible result, the moment when an inner spiritual realization shows itself as a changed outer fact. Where treatment is the work done in consciousness, demonstration is its harvest: the healing that appears, the supply that arrives, the situation that resolves. It is offered as proof that the Law has operated, that thought held as truth has objectified itself in experience.
The teachers here speak of making a demonstration as one might speak of completing an experiment whose outcome confirms the principle. The demonstration is not earned by struggle but accepted by conviction; it follows the mental equivalent as surely as the image follows the seed. To demonstrate is to witness the lawful unfolding of what was first established within.
In their words
The Law is Infinite and Perfect; but in order to make a demonstration we must first have a mental equivalent of the thing we desire.
In our very laboratory experiments we are demonstrating the great fact that thoughts are forces. They have form, and quality, and substance, and power, and we are beginning to find that there is what we may term a science of thought.
Whatever man feels deeply or images clearly is impressed upon the subconscious mind, and carried out in minutest detail.
