How mind makes reality
Decree
A decree is the spoken word wielded as creative command, the conviction released through the voice with authority. In the beginning was the Word, and the traditions of the spoken word hold that what is declared aloud with faith sets law in motion. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh, and the subconscious accepts what the conscious mind decrees. To decree is to stop pleading and begin proclaiming, to call the desired condition into being by naming it as already so.

The Word of Faith stream calls this positive confession: you speak God's word over yourself until what you confess, you possess. The metaphysical decree, rhythmic and repeated, charges the atmosphere with the energy of the command. Whether as Shinn's spoken word that releases the law, or the rapid violet-flame fiat, the principle is one: the tongue is a creative instrument. The seeker learns to speak only what they would see come to pass.
