Symbols and the unseen
Clairvoyance
Clairvoyance, clear seeing, is the faculty of perceiving what lies beyond the reach of the physical eye: distant scenes, hidden objects, inner planes of being. The Theosophists, Leadbeater foremost among them, described it as an astral sight that opens new windows onto a wider world which is yet part of the old one, only previously unseen. In the language of psychical research it joins telepathy and precognition as a mode of knowing without the ordinary senses.
Across traditions the seer, the scryer, the visionary mystic all report the same widening of perception, as though a curtain were drawn back. Whether trained through stillness, scrying, or grace, clairvoyance marks the soul's claim that there is more to see than the body shows. On the map of mind it is the opened window onto the unseen world.
In their words
In many other directions we are entirely shut in, but clairvoyance or astral sight opens for us one or two additional windows, and so enlarges our prospect, and spreads before us a new and wider world, which is yet part of the old world, though before we did not know it.
There is a correspondence of heaven with all things of the earth.
What one thinks continually, they become; what one cherishes in their heart and mind they make manifest.
