Oneness and the absolute
Brahman
Brahman is the one absolute reality of the Vedanta - the infinite, eternal ground of being that underlies the entire cosmos and every self within it. It is sat-chit-ananda: pure existence, pure consciousness, pure bliss, without a second. The world of names and forms appears within Brahman like images in a mirror, real as appearance, yet never apart from the one reality that shines through them.

The great revelation of the Upanishads is that Atman, the innermost Self, is none other than Brahman: That thou art. The seeker need not travel anywhere or acquire anything, for the goal is the very awareness that seeks. Through discrimination between the Real and the unreal, the false sense of a separate self dissolves, and what remains is recognized as Brahman - that which you have always been.
