How mind makes reality

Belief

Belief is the inner acceptance that fixes a possibility into a fact for the one who holds it. It is the settling of the mind upon a thing as already so, and in this lineage that settling is creative: what is fully believed is drawn into experience, and what is doubted is held at bay. Belief is less an opinion about reality than an instruction to it.

The tradition returns again and again to the same law: you become, and you receive, according to what you believe yourself to be. Claude Bristol calls this the magic of believing; the Gospel says all things are possible to him that believeth; William James shows that some facts cannot arrive until belief in their coming arrives first. From New Thought to Word of Faith to the Law of Attraction, belief is the lever that moves the inner world, and through it the outer.
What you exhibit outwardly, you are inwardly. You are the product of your own thought. What you believe yourself to be, you are.Claude Bristol
All things are possible to him that believeth.Mark 9:23 (KJV)
Believe that life is worth living, and your belief will help create the fact.William James
Whatsoever things ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.Mark 11:24 (KJV)
On the mental plane we are a law unto ourselves. If we believe in a thing, and state our faith in it, it will be so.Eugene Fersen
