How mind makes reality

Autosuggestion

Autosuggestion is the conscious impressing of an idea upon one's own subconscious until it acts automatically as if true. Émile Coué, the French apothecary who founded the method, gave the world its simplest formula, murmured each morning and night without effort or strain. His law of reversed effort taught that when imagination and will conflict, imagination wins, so the suggestion must be offered gently to the deeper mind rather than forced. Repeated quietly in a relaxed state, the chosen idea takes root and grows of itself.

Napoleon Hill adapted the principle into emotionalized autosuggestion, mixing feeling with the words to drive them home. The technique is the bridge between conscious choice and subconscious power: you decide the seed, and the deeper mind cultivates the harvest. Whether through Coué's litany, a card carried in the pocket, or the drowsy threshold before sleep, the aim is the same gentle reprogramming. The seeker becomes the careful gardener of their own inner soil.
