Multidimensional conscious exploration
The transmission
Jurgen Ziewe (b. c. 1949) is a German-born, UK-based digital artist and author who, through decades of dedicated meditation, became a prolific and unusually detailed explorer of out-of-body and “multidimensional” states of consciousness.
He approaches OBE less as a technique to be triggered and more as the natural fruit of sustained contemplative discipline. His books Multidimensional Man and Vistas of Infinity offer richly described first-person accounts of fully conscious exploration of what he presents as continuous, populated non-physical realities, including realms he associates with the afterlife.
His extensive, internally consistent reports have made him a respected figure among serious OBE researchers seeking detailed phenomenological “maps” of these states.
What they gave
Meditation-driven OBE: Demonstrates sustained contemplative practice as a route to stable, fully conscious out-of-body states.
- Phenomenological mapping: Provides detailed, consistent descriptions of non-physical “realms,” contributing to consciousness cartography.
- Continuity-of-consciousness model: Frames physical and non-physical existence as a single continuous reality.
- Afterlife exploration: Connects OBE practice to firsthand investigation of post-mortem states.
The line they stand in
Influenced by: long-term meditation; Robert Monroe; Eastern contemplative practice.
- Influenced: advanced OBE explorers; the consciousness-mapping and afterlife-research community.
