A Teacher

Alan Seale

1954-present Nonduality Transformational Presence

Leading and living from presence and the larger potential

Alan Seale (b. 1954) is an American author, speaker, and coach, and the founder and director of the Center for Transformational Presence, whose leadership and coach-training programs have graduates in more than thirty-five countries.

He came to this work by an unusual route: an earlier career as a professional singer and voice teacher in New York City (he holds a Master of Music in Voice from Westminster Choir College and performed with organizations including the New York Philharmonic and New York City Opera) before training as a coach through the Coaches Training Institute and other programs and being ordained through The New Seminary.

His first book, Intuitive Living: A Sacred Path (2001), won the Coalition of Visionary Resources award for best book in spirituality, and was followed by Soul Mission • Life Vision (2003), The Manifestation Wheel (2008), The Power of Your Presence (2009), Create a World That Works (2011), and the two-volume Transformational Presence (2017).

Seale’s place in the Atlas is as a contemporary teacher who carries the New Thought / intuitive-manifestation lineage into the language of leadership, coaching, and complexity. His distinctive move is to invert ordinary goal-setting: instead of imposing “what I want,” he teaches sensing “what wants to happen” — the larger potential trying to emerge in a situation — and then asking who that asks one to be and what it asks one to do.

This pairs a receptive, listening, present-centered stance with a felt/energetic reading of situations, restating in practical, secular-friendly terms the recurring themes of attention (The Inner Creates the Outer), the present moment (Everything Happens in the Now), surrender-to-receive (The Inner Creates the Outer), and feeling as the operative force (The Inner Creates the Outer).

He represents the pragmatic, professionally-coached pole of the manifestation field — closer to discernment and emergence than to outcome-engineering.

“What wants to happen?”: Reframed manifestation as sensing and partnering with an emerging potential rather than forcing a predetermined goal.

  • The Three Fundamental Questions: “What wants to happen? Who is that asking me to be? What is that asking me to do?” — a portable discovery practice for any challenge.
  • Transformational Presence: A model for centering into a grounded, spacious presence before responding, translating contemplative presence into leadership.
  • The Manifestation Wheel: An eight-station process (intention, peace, energy, guidance, empowerment, action, surrender, legacy) for moving from intention to outcome.

Taught by / Influenced by: intuitive and energy-awareness traditions; the coaching and leadership-development field; broad spiritual-development teaching (incl. an adapted use of medicine-wheel structure).

  • Taught / Influenced: the transformational-coaching and conscious-leadership movement; practitioners using potential-based, emergence-oriented approaches to change.
