A Teacher
Bob Proctor
Paradigm shift & wealth consciousness
The transmission
Bob Proctor was a Canadian author and prosperity teacher who built a long career as one of the most dedicated transmitters of the classic New Thought success tradition.
His own transformation, by his account, began when he read Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich; he then worked with Earl Nightingale’s company before founding his own teaching enterprise.
His book You Were Born Rich (1984) and decades of seminars centered on the idea that one’s “paradigm”—the conditioned set of subconscious beliefs and habits—governs results, and that deliberately changing this paradigm produces changes in wealth and circumstance.
His appearance in the 2006 film The Secret brought him to a mass new audience. Proctor’s role in the Atlas is as a direct living-link transmitter of the early-20th-century success literature (Hill, Wattles, Nightingale) into the 21st-century Law-of-Attraction movement.
His emphasis on the “paradigm”—the subconscious belief-and-habit structure that must be reprogrammed for outcomes to change—is essentially New Thought’s “subconscious impression” and the success tradition’s “definite chief aim” restated for modern audiences. and a featured teacher in The Secret, he is a clean example of how the lineage’s wealth-consciousness stream was carried forward, largely intact, from Hill’s generation into contemporary manifestation and prosperity coaching.
