Sheldan Nidle

Sheldan Nidle (1946–2025) was an American channel and the founder of the Planetary Activation Organization (PAO, formerly the Ground Crew Project). He claimed lifelong contact with beings he identified with the Sirian system and a Galactic Federation of Light, and from the 1980s onward built an organization and a steady stream of channeled updates around the prophecy of an imminent planetary transformation.

Central to his cosmology was the photon belt: a high-energy region of space that Earth was said to be entering, triggering a consciousness shift and, ultimately, a mass landing of Galactic Federation craft to usher humanity into a new “galactic society.” Nidle is significant to the mind-power and channeling lineage as a key systematizer of the galactic-federation strand, descending from the 1950s Ashtar/space-brothers material (compare George Van Tassel) and feeding the 2012 ascension and “first contact” subcultures.

His best-known book, Your First Contact (2000), and his long-running channeled bulletins framed humanity’s evolution as a collective, prophesied event. His predictions of imminent mass landing repeatedly failed to materialize (a 1996 deadline among them, for which he was given a satirical “Pigasus” award), and the narrative was serially revised—illustrating, for the Atlas, the prophetic-channeling pattern of date-setting and reframing that recurs across this branch.
