Mindful lucid dreaming
The transmission
Charlie Morley (b. 1984) is a British author and teacher who fuses lucid dreaming with Tibetan Buddhist dream yoga and mindfulness. Authorized to teach within the Kagyu lineage by Lama Yeshe Rinpoche, he developed “Mindfulness of Dream and Sleep,” presenting nocturnal practice as a path of psychological healing and spiritual development rather than mere novelty.
His books — Dreams of Awakening, Lucid Dreaming Made Easy, and Dreaming Through Darkness — emphasize using lucidity for shadow integration, trauma resolution (including work with veterans on nightmares and PTSD), and contemplative growth.
He bridges the experimental lucid-dream tradition of LaBerge with the explicitly transformational aims of Tibetan dream yoga.
