Merkaba & Flower of Life activation

Drunvalo Melchizedek (born Bernard Perona) is an American New Age teacher best known for popularizing sacred geometry and the Merkaba (or Mer-Ka-Ba) light-body.

In his two-volume The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life (1999/2000) and through workshops, he presents a cosmology built around the “Flower of Life” geometric pattern as the blueprint of creation, and teaches a specific Merkaba breathing technique—a meditation combining breath, visualization, and the activation of a counter-rotating geometric energy field around the body—said to facilitate spiritual ascension and interdimensional awareness.

Drunvalo’s place in the Atlas is as a central figure of the sacred-geometry and light-body strand of New Age practice. His Merkaba technique is a concrete energy-and-visualization method—structured breath plus geometric imagery to “activate” a personal energy field—placing it alongside the energy-cultivation practices tracked elsewhere (Daoist qigong, Bardon’s elemental work, the Golden Dawn’s “sphere of sensation”).

His Flower of Life cosmology exemplifies the “symbolic universe” archetype, treating geometric pattern as the generative structure of reality. As the source of the Merkaba breathing technique featured on the iasos page, he is a key node in the ascension/energy-activation niche of the modern ecosystem, where consciousness work is framed as geometric and energetic engineering.

Merkaba light-body: Popularized a geometric energy-field activation via breath and visualization.

  • Flower of Life cosmology: Framed sacred geometry as the blueprint of creation.
  • Energy-activation practice: Provided a concrete technique blending breath, imagery, and “field” work.
  • Ascension framing: Linked geometric meditation to interdimensional/spiritual development.

Taught by / Influenced by: sacred geometry traditions; Theosophical/ascension currents; channeled and esoteric sources.

  • Taught / Influenced: Merkaba meditation communities; sacred-geometry and light-body spirituality; ascension and energy-activation culture.
