Consciousness shifts reality / quantum jumps between parallel worlds
The transmission
Cynthia Sue Larson is a contemporary American author, speaker, and podcaster who writes on “reality shifts,” quantum jumps, and the Mandela Effect.
She holds a degree in physics from the University of California, Berkeley, along with an MBA and a Doctor of Divinity, and is the founder of RealityShifters, a long-running website and newsletter through which she has gathered firsthand accounts of apparent reality anomalies since the late 1990s.
She served as first president of the International Mandela Effect Conference and hosts the Living the Quantum Dream podcast, and has appeared on outlets including Gaia, the History Channel, Coast to Coast AM, and the BBC.
Her books include Reality Shifts: When Consciousness Changes the Physical World, Quantum Jumps: An Extraordinary Science of Happiness and Prosperity, and High Energy Money. Larson frames the universe as an interconnected, holographic multiverse in which a person “jumps” from one parallel reality to another with each choice, and argues that consciousness is the active variable.
Notably, she characterizes the Mandela Effect as a phenomenon of “mismatched memories” across timelines rather than simple mass false memory. Within the Atlas she sits at the convergence of New Thought manifestation and a quantum-physics idiom, predating and informing the later online “reality shifting” subculture.
What they gave
Reality-shift framework: Coined and popularized the “reality shifts” concept, cataloguing firsthand accounts of small physical anomalies attributed to consciousness.
- Quantum-jump manifestation: Recast law-of-attraction goal-work as deliberately “jumping” to a parallel reality where the desired state already exists.
- Mandela Effect reframing: Offered a parallel-timelines interpretation of the Mandela Effect as “mismatched memories” rather than collective error.
- Citizen-research platform: Built RealityShifters as a decades-long crowd-sourced archive bridging metaphysics and a popular-science vocabulary.
