The transmission
Christine Hartley, born Christine Campbell Thomson in London, was a British literary agent, author and occultist, and a friend of Dion Fortune.
As a member of the Society of the Inner Light she formed a celebrated magical partnership with Colonel Charles Seymour. Their collaborative rituals and recorded pathworkings survive as notable examples of 20th-century ceremonial magic.
What they gave
She co-created with Seymour a body of evocatory ritual work and wrote ‘The Western Mystery Tradition’ (1968), drawing Celtic mythology into the wider esoteric framework.
