Barbara Hand Clow

Barbara Hand Clow (born 1943, Saginaw, Michigan) is an American astrologer, channel, and New Age author and editor. She rose to prominence in the 1980s as executive vice president of the publisher Bear & Company, and built her own reputation first as an astrologer—her work on the planetary body Chiron was influential—before emerging as a channel.

In 1989 she published Heart of the Christos: Starseeding from the Pleiades, among the early books of channeled “Pleiadian” material, and in 1995 her best-known work, The Pleiadian Agenda: A New Cosmology for the Age of Light, in which she channels a Pleiadian voice she calls Satya.

Hand Clow’s contribution to the mind-power and channeling lineage is her construction of an elaborate dimensional time architecture: a cosmology of nested dimensions (developed further in Alchemy of Nine Dimensions) in which human consciousness can move among multiple densities and timeframes, and in which Earth’s transformation is read through astrological and Mayan-calendar cycles.

By fusing esoteric astrology, calendrics, and Pleiadian channeling, she helped give the galactic-channeling current an intellectual scaffolding of correspondences (“as above, so below”) linking cosmic cycles to inner states of consciousness, and her work fed directly into the 2012 ascension milieu.
