David Cameron Gikandi
Wealth as a present state of consciousness
The transmission
David Cameron Gikandi was born on 6 March 1975 in Nakuru, Kenya, and trained in business and information technology, holding degrees from Jacksonville University in Florida and Griffith University in Australia.
His 2001 book A Happy Pocket Full of Money presents wealth and abundance as a present-moment state of consciousness rather than a future acquisition, blending New Thought prosperity ideas with popular interpretations of quantum physics.
The book circulated widely in self-development and abundance circles and established him as a voice in the manifestation genre. Gikandi’s prominence grew when A Happy Pocket Full of Money reached the producer Rhonda Byrne, who invited him to serve as Creative Consultant on the 2006 film The Secret, the documentary that brought Law of Attraction language to a mass global audience.
Through that association he is counted among the contributing figures of the modern manifestation wave. He has continued to write and teach on wealth consciousness and abundance, describing himself as a curator and publisher of esoteric and prosperity-oriented material.
What they gave
Wealth as present consciousness: Argues that abundance is experienced now by a shift in awareness, not deferred until external conditions change.
- Quantum framing of prosperity: Popularizes a quantum-physics vocabulary for Law of Attraction prosperity teaching, appealing to readers seeking a scientific register.
- The Secret connection: As Creative Consultant on the 2006 film, helped shape one of the most influential mass-media expressions of manifestation thought.
- Gratitude and feeling-state: Emphasizes inner feeling and appreciation as the operative cause of outer abundance.
In their words
What you think in your mind and feel in your heart is what you become.
To build external wealth, build internal value and then exercise it.
You are an observer with a body to experience your observations.
To the extent that your thoughts are not conscious, deliberate, and focused in any topic of life, you will be affected by the outcome of the thoughts of other people.
Condemnation and judgment keep in place that which is condemned and judged.
Conformity can be your worst enemy. If you do what the crowd does, you will get what the crowd gets.
You have more potential in you than you can possibly use up in an entire lifetime or even in several lifetimes. Stop making up excuses and believing in limits.
