A Teacher
Marc Gafni
Each person carries a ‘Unique Self,’ an irreplaceable perspective of the divine that the world needs them to live out.
The transmission
Marc Gafni is an American philosopher, writer, and former Orthodox rabbi who became a contemporary spiritual teacher drawing on modern Kabbalah and integral theory.
He developed the ‘Unique Self’ teaching and co-founded the Center for World Spirituality, later the Center for Integral Wisdom, in association with integral theorist Ken Wilber.
His work centers on eros, ‘Outrageous Love,’ and a project he calls World Spirituality. He is a controversial figure who has faced decades of sexual-misconduct allegations, which he denies, and his rabbinic standing was revoked.
