Deciding who you are in the Now

Elan is a channeled entity presented (like Bashar) as a being from the “Essassani civilization,” channeled by a man named Andrew and popularized through the iasos.com metaphysics archive and the Elan Teachings community.

The material is explicitly a sibling of the Bashar teachings—drawing on the same purported “database of wisdom” but emphasizing different facets—and centers on the mechanics of how each person creates their own reality.

Its best-known free text is Your Power on a Plate, and its concepts were systematized by teacher Egan Sanders into a framework called “Foundational Consciousness Focusing.” Elan’s value to the Atlas is as an unusually crisp articulation of the decision-based reality-creation model.

Its core teaching is that the present is the result of the present (not the past): in each Now moment you decide who and what you are and instantly are that, bypassing the illusion of prerequisite steps. Supporting concepts include “Decision Maintenance” (using contradictory external evidence to reinforce rather than abandon the new decision), the belief→perception→interpretation→emotion→thought→action chain (“actions indicate your strongest beliefs”), “selecting from already-existing options” (all probable realities co-exist; you tune in like a radio rather than create), and the pairing of desire with allowance.

This makes Elan a near-twin of Neville Goddard’s “assume the wish fulfilled” and Frederick Dodson’s parallel-selves shifting, restated in an Essassani/channeled idiom—an instructive node showing how the same assumption-and-allowance teaching recurs across New Thought, channeling, and reality-shifting branches.

Decision in the Now: “You are what you decide you are, right now” — a channeled restatement of assumption.

  • Decision Maintenance: Use contradictory evidence to reinforce, not abandon, the new self-definition.
  • Actions indicate beliefs: Behavior reveals one’s strongest (often unconscious) belief — back-track to shift it.
  • Selecting, not creating: All probable realities already exist; one tunes to the preferred version (radio analogy).

  • Taught / Influenced: Essassani-lineage reality-creation teaching; Egan Sanders’ “Consciousness Focusing”; online manifestation communities. parallels (assumption) and (parallel-selves).
