Manifesting through faith and surrender
The transmission
Gabrielle Bernstein is an American author and speaker who became one of the leading voices of millennial spiritual self-help, with bestsellers including The Universe Has Your Back (2016) and Super Attractor (2019).
A student and teacher of A Course in Miracles and Kundalini yoga, she blends manifestation with an emphasis on faith, surrender, and shifting from fear to love, framing the “Universe” as a benevolent supporting force.
Bernstein’s significance lies in repackaging manifestation for a younger, wellness-oriented, predominantly female audience, integrating it with meditation, journaling, and emotional-healing practices rather than pure goal-getting.
Endorsed early by Oprah Winfrey as a “next-generation thought leader” and connected to the Wayne Dyer lineage, she helped move manifestation toward a softer, surrender-and-alignment register.
Her “Super Attractor” framing fuses law-of-attraction mechanics with A Course in Miracles spirituality.
What they gave
Surrender-based manifestation: Centered faith, trust, and “letting go” rather than forceful visualization.
- ACIM integration: Wove A Course in Miracles‘s fear-to-love shift into mainstream manifestation.
- Wellness packaging: Aligned manifestation with meditation, yoga, and emotional healing for a millennial audience.
- Benevolent-universe motif: Popularized “the Universe has your back” as a reassurance-centered manifestation stance.
In their words
We bring energy to the object of our focus. That energy influences our emotional state, and it’s our emotional state that is our point of attraction.
The very second we choose a loving thought, our emotions shift and our energy changes.
