Magnetizing with the Higher Self

To picture clearly what you want, fill the image with feeling, align it with the higher self / ‘Higher Will,’ and then ‘magnetize’ it and release — pairing the inner work with real-world action.

Beginner 10–20 min, repeated Channeled New Age (Orin)
Magnetizing in 5 steps: Relax. Choose a desire and check it against your higher good. Picture it clearly and ask “What will it feel like?” — letting feeling power the image. See a magnet (or yourself) drawing it toward you; invest energy, then stop and release. Finally, act on the practical next step. Treat results as motivation, never as a measure of your worth.

This is the manifesting practice at the heart of Creating Money, channeled by Sanaya Roman (from “Orin”) with Duane Packer (from “DaBen”): you picture what you want, fill the picture with feeling, link it to your higher self / “Higher Will,” and then “magnetize” it — energetically drawing it toward you — before releasing it and taking aligned action.

The book frames this as “creating what you want using energy, thought, and magnetism, and linking with your soul and Higher Will,“ claiming results “beyond anything you can create with physical effort alone.“ The honest core of the practice is emotionally charged visualization aligned with your values, then released into action. It operationalizes the deeper Self as the guiding aspect (All Is One) and the tradition’s conviction that feeling is the force that powers an image (The Inner Creates the Outer).

Distinct from the siblings in this lineage. Many entries here picture an end —. Orin’s signature additions are two:

(1) explicitly aligning the desire with a “Higher Will” (asking whether it serves your higher good before charging it), and (2) the distinctive “magnetizing” image — picturing yourself or a magnet drawing the thing toward you.

It pairs naturally with and contrasts with pure assumption methods that skip the higher-self check.

A faithful representative protocol, from the Orin/DaBen “magnetizing” teaching:

  1. Relax and settle. Get comfortable, relax the muscles, and quiet the mind — the same inward turn as Orin’s higher-self meditation.
  2. Choose and clarify the desire. Decide what you want to create. Orin counsels checking it against your Higher Will / higher good — does this serve you and harm none? — rather than charging every passing want.
  3. Picture it clearly. Imagine what you want and “see yourself having it.”
  4. Add feeling. Ask, in Orin’s words, “What will it feel like?” — the book teaches that “the pictures you can form and the feelings you generate all contribute to your power in magnetizing“ (The Inner Creates the Outer).
  5. Magnetize. Use the signature image: picture a magnet or magnetic field (as “big and strong as you like”) drawing the desire toward you, or see yourself as the magnet. Invest energy into it.
  6. Stop when it feels complete, then release. When you’ve “invested enough energy you will know it,“ stop and let the image go — relinquishing the grip rather than anxiously rehearsing.
  7. Act on inner guidance. Follow nudges and take concrete, practical steps; Orin treats action and “footwork” as part of creating, not optional. (Sourcing note: “magnetizing,” “Higher Will,” and the see-it/feel-it phrasing are Orin/DaBen terms from Creating Money, attributed; the steps are a faithful paraphrase, not a reproduction of the copyrighted text or audio journey.)

The method is the spine of Sanaya Roman & Duane Packer’s Creating Money: Attracting Abundance (1988) and its companion Creating Money audio course (the “Magnetizing Yourself” journey by Orin).

It extends Orin’s higher-self meditation (Spiritual Growth, 1989) into goal-creation, and sits in the New Thought / New Age manifesting lineage. → Voice node. Its picture-and-feel core is shared with Wattles, Murphy, and Byrne; the “Higher Will” gating is Orin’s own emphasis.

Visualizing instead of acting. The single biggest error: substituting magnetizing for earning, saving, applying, asking. Always pair with footwork.

  • Skipping the Higher-Will check. Charging up every impulsive want defeats Orin’s own counsel; ask whether it serves your higher good first.
  • Gripping the outcome. Anxious, repeated rehearsal signals lack; the release step matters — invest, then let go (cf. ).
  • Reading results as a scorecard of faith. Don’t blame yourself when reality lags; revise the plan, not your self-worth.
  • Refinement: end every session by writing the one concrete next action the image implies, and do it.
