Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT)
To guide a person into deep hypnosis to explore ‘past lives’ and to contact ‘the Subconscious’ (a higher self) for insight and healing.
QHHT in 5 lines: A practitioner interviews you, then guides you into deep hypnosis. You visualise into “scenes” interpreted as past lives, then they call on “the Subconscious” (a higher self) to explain your issues and offer healing, answering your prepared questions. The hypnosis, relaxation, and reframing are real and can feel powerful. The past-life / “quantum healing” claims are unverified, and the recovered-memory element is a real risk — hold the content as symbolic, not literal, and never in place of medical care.
What it is
QHHT is a guided hypnosis method in which a practitioner leads a client into a deep (somnambulistic) trance and then (a) takes them through one or more “past lives” or relevant scenes, and (b) makes contact with what Dolores Cannon called “the Subconscious” (the SC) — described as a higher, all-knowing aspect of the self, always connected to “the Source,” able to explain the client’s issues and “heal the body.” The session typically ends with the client receiving insight, answers to prepared questions, and suggested healing.
Functionally it combines genuine hypnotic phenomena — profound relaxation, absorption, and heightened suggestibility — with a metaphysical interpretive frame of reincarnation and channeled higher-self wisdom. It engages subconscious material and suggestion (The Inner Creates the Outer), a deep witness/observer state (Life Is a Dream), and claims of mind reaching beyond the brain/lifetime (The Inner Creates the Outer).
Honesty up front: the hypnosis is real; the “past-life” and “quantum healing” claims are unverified, and the recovered-memory element carries real risk.
The Method
A faithful description of Cannon’s QHHT session structure:
- Long pre-talk / interview. The practitioner spends substantial time understanding the client’s life, issues, and the questions they want answered. Building rapport and trust is emphasised.
- Hypnotic induction to a deep level. Using progressive relaxation and visualisation, the practitioner guides the client into the somnambulistic state — the deep trance Cannon likened to the threshold just before sleep and just after waking.
- Visualisation into a “scene.” The client is led to imagine descending (e.g., floating down on a cloud) and “landing” in a scene, which is interpreted as a past life (or relevant other-life/time experience). The practitioner has them describe surroundings, body, events, and the life’s death and lessons.
- Reviewing the life and its relevance. The client narrates the life and its connection to present-day issues — recurring themes, relationships, “karmic” ties.
- Calling in “the Subconscious” (SC). The practitioner then addresses the SC directly, asking why it showed that life, what the client’s issues mean, and requesting explanations and healing. Answers come through the client speaking, often in a shifted voice/manner.
- Requesting healing and answers to prepared questions. The SC is asked to address physical/emotional concerns and to respond to the client’s list of questions.
- Return and integration. The client is brought back to ordinary awareness and debriefed; a recording is usually provided. (Sourcing note: QHHT is a trademarked method taught through Cannon’s academy; the above describes its publicly documented structure, not a training substitute.)
Source & Lineage
QHHT was created by Dolores Cannon (1931-2014), an American self-taught hypnotherapist and prolific author who began past-life regression work in the late 1960s and developed QHHT over a ~45-year career.
She founded the Quantum Healing Hypnosis Academy (continued by her daughter Julia Cannon) and Ozark Mountain Publishing, and authored many books reporting “channeled”/regression material (e.g.
The Convoluted Universe series). Its roots are in the hypnotic past-life regression tradition (Edgar Cayce-style readings, Brian Weiss’s regression work) crossed with channeling of a higher self.
The Traditions' versions
The shared move — deep trance to access a wiser inner source and reframe one’s story — recurs across methods: - Hypnotic regression (Weiss, Cayce lineage) — past-life or age regression for insight and healing.
- Parts work / Internal Family Systems — dialoguing with inner “parts” and a calm “Self.”,
- Active imagination — engaging autonomous inner figures with a witnessing ego.
- Automatic writing / channeling — accessing a “higher” or other voice; same higher-self framing.
- Shamanic journeying — trance travel to retrieve guidance/healing.
- Self-hypnosis / Elman induction — the underlying trance technology.,
Common refinements
Taking the content as literal fact. “Past life” scenes and SC pronouncements are subconscious productions under suggestion — meaningful symbolically, not verified history or diagnosis.
- Leading questions building false memories. A practitioner who suggests content can implant it. Insist on a non-leading, ethical operator.
- Replacing medical care. “Quantum healing” is not treatment. Never stop or skip medical/psychiatric care on the strength of a session.
- Chasing dramatic revelations. Pressure to produce vivid lives/answers manufactures material. Let it be ordinary if it’s ordinary.
- Skipping integration. Big experiences need grounding and reflection afterward, ideally with support — not acting impulsively on “SC guidance.”
