Stella Matutina

A principal successor to the Golden Dawn, and the order through which its rituals were published.

Order  ·  Founded 1,903  ·  London, England & New Zealand  ·  Dissolved

Founded by Robert Felkin

Stella Matutina (“Morning Star”) formed around 1903 as one of the successor orders after the Golden Dawn split, led by Robert Felkin. It carried the full Golden Dawn curriculum into the twentieth century; its lasting significance is that Israel Regardie, a member, later published its rituals, preserving the system for all later magicians.

The bridge by which the Golden Dawn’s secret curriculum survived into the modern world.
