Manly P. Hall founded the Philosophical Research Society in Los Angeles in 1934, four years after publishing his encyclopaedic The Secret Teachings of All Ages.
Built around a major library of esoterica, the PRS preserves and teaches comparative religion, mythology and the Western mystery traditions.
