What it was
Alice Bailey founded the Arcane School in 1923 (under what became the Lucis Trust) to train students in meditation and esoteric service along the lines of the “Ageless Wisdom” she said was dictated by the Tibetan master Djwhal Khul.
A direct offshoot of Theosophy, it shaped much of the vocabulary of the later New Age, including the popularisation of “the New Group of World Servers.”
Its place in the lineage
The most organised continuation of the Theosophical impulse into the twentieth century, and a major source of New Age esotericism.
