The Believer's Authority

by Kenneth E. Hagin

Word of Faith movement (founder); Rhema Bible training

The Believer's Authority codifies the Word of Faith teaching that the believer holds delegated spiritual authority to be exercised through faith and the spoken word. Its central claim, read from Mark 11, is that conviction precedes evidence: one believes the answer is received and then speaks it into being.

The book treats faith as a tangible spiritual force released by confession, and organizes the practice into a reproducible discipline transmitted through books, tapes, and a training institution. It thereby turned an inherited teaching into an organized movement.

Within the tradition the work helped make Word of Faith the largest mind-power movement by headcount. Two honest flags accompany it: its mechanism is documented as inherited New Thought metaphysics rather than fresh scriptural derivation, and the implied verdict that the unhealed lacked faith is rejected.

In its words

In Christ, all spiritual blessings belong to us. Authority belongs to us whether we realize it or not. But just knowing this isn't enough. It's knowledge acted upon that brings results!
