Life and Teaching of the Masters of the Far East
Ascended MastersLife and Teaching of the Masters of the Far East is a multi-volume series presented as the record of a Western research expedition that met immortal Masters in India and Tibet. These figures are said to demonstrate miraculous powers, walking on water, materializing food, conquering death, through a perfect understanding of universal spiritual law.
Though framed as a factual travelogue, the expedition is almost certainly fictional and the author's own biography embellished. The teaching holds that "Christ consciousness" and divine law, once understood, confer mastery over physical conditions, reinforcing motifs of materialization and physical immortality.
Within the ascended-masters tradition the series seeded the Western imagination with the image of hidden Eastern adepts wielding mind-over-matter powers, providing narrative fuel for the I AM Activity and the broader New Age master-mythos.
