Healing with the Angels

by Doreen Virtue

New Age angel work (later renounced)

Healing with the Angels belongs to the body of work through which Doreen Virtue became a best-selling figure in New Age angel spirituality. Its central premise is that angels, ascended masters, and other spiritual beings offer guidance and healing that can be sought and received directly.

The book presents an accessible practice of angelic communication and helped establish the oracle- and angel-card deck as a mainstream metaphysical product, part of a high-volume output that carried popular angelology to a very large international audience.

The case carries a significant caveat: in 2017, following a Christian conversion, Virtue publicly renounced this entire body of work, withdrawing her New Age titles and warning against the practices for which she is catalogued here. The work is recorded both for its historical role and as a candid example of a prominent teacher repudiating her own tradition.
